Job Summary
To drive improvements in evidence-based medicine and patient safety, the remote State Licensed Radiation Oncology Director will manage quality initiatives, provide insights for care decisions, and collaborate with medical director teams on clinical reviews and appeals.
Key responsibilities
- Work to improve quality and promote evidence-based medicine across the organization
- Provide information on quality and efficiency to inform care choices for doctors, patients, and customers
- Support initiatives that enhance quality throughout the national network and ensure timely service delivery for members
Required qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Active, unrestricted physician state license
- Current board certification in ABMS or AOA specialty in Radiation Oncology
- 5+ years of clinical practice experience post-residency
- Solid understanding of evidence-based medicine (EBM) and managed care principles
