Job Summary
To support a growing fintech, the full-time State Licensed Regulatory Counsel will advise on payments products and infrastructure, partner across various teams, and help launch new capabilities while navigating regulatory complexities, with options for remote work within the United States or Canada.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on payments-related initiatives, including product launches and operational incidents
- Build trusted relationships across Product, Compliance, Risk, Engineering, Operations, and Legal teams
- Support financial crimes compliance initiatives and develop scalable guidance
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of legal experience
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Experience with fintechs, banks, or payment companies, particularly in payments or AML
- Strong knowledge of payments-related regulatory frameworks and BSA/AML requirements
- Familiarity with AI use cases in legal roles or financial services
