Job Summary
To support the evolving energy production landscape, the full-time State Licensed Relay Settings Engineer will develop protective relay settings, perform coordination studies, and troubleshoot protection system issues, with the option for remote work or office-based collaboration in the U.S. or Canada.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and calculate protective relay settings for various power systems and renewable energy facilities
- Perform relay coordination studies, short circuit studies, and fault analysis for utility and industrial power systems
- Prepare technical documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout project execution
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in relay settings, protection and control engineering, or power systems engineering
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in the U.S. or P.Eng. in Canada (or ability to obtain)
- Strong understanding of power system protection principles and relay coordination practices
- Experience using modeling and power system analysis tools such as ETAP, ASPEN, or SKM
