State Licensed Release of Information Specialist

Job Summary

To support health plan audits, the full-time State Licensed Release of Information Specialist will process medical record requests with precision and compliance, utilizing electronic medical record systems while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Process medical ROI requests quickly and accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Utilize software applications to manage and track medical records across multiple EMR systems
• Provide coaching and guidance to team members to ensure adherence to best practices and compliance standards

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
• 5+ years of experience in medical records, Release of Information (ROI), or Health Information Management (HIM)
• Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to the release of protected health information
• RHIT certification preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable navigating multiple EMR systems
