Job Summary
Leading complex SALT advisory engagements, the full-time hybrid State Licensed SALT Director will serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, oversee large-scale client engagements, and drive business development while advising on multistate tax matters.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the engagement leader for complex state and local tax engagements, including corporate income tax and tax controversy matters
- Advise executive leadership on strategic multistate tax planning, restructuring, and indirect tax optimization
- Recruit, mentor, and develop team members while driving business development through proposals and client relationship management
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in state and local tax, corporate tax, or public accounting
- Minimum of 2 years of experience at a Big 4 firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC)
- Experience leading executive-level SALT engagements involving multistate tax planning and tax controversy
- CPA license, JD, MST, MBA, or other relevant professional credential preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business, or a related field
