Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated State Licensed School Counselor, the remote full-time Upper School Academic Advisor will manage student onboarding, provide individualized academic support, and guide families through the college admissions process while fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the onboarding and transition of new upper school students and families, ensuring academic success and retention
• Guide senior students and families through the college admissions planning process, including application preparation and financial aid
• Facilitate community engagement experiences and participate in school-wide events to enhance student involvement

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree in school counseling or academic advising strongly preferred
• Experience in college admissions at either the college or high school level strongly preferred
• School counselor specialization and/or certification preferred
• Proficiency in student information systems required
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a diverse community
