Job Summary
To support the Claims Management team, the remote State Licensed Senior Claims Counsel will investigate and resolve title insurance claims, supervise litigation, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders while ensuring compliance with applicable legal practices.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct investigations of claims and develop strategies for resolution, focusing on complex legal issues
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and opposing counsel, and supervise litigation as necessary
- Draft agreements, training materials, and assist in the assignment of notices and staff training
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state
- Minimum five years' experience with title insurance claims administration or real estate law
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret legal documents effectively
