Job Summary
To support claims management, the remote State Licensed Senior Claims Counsel will investigate and resolve title insurance claims, supervise litigation, and collaborate with various stakeholders while ensuring compliance with legal practices.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct investigations of claims and develop resolution strategies focusing on complex legal issues
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and oversee litigation processes as necessary
- Draft agreements and training materials while assisting Claims Management with various administrative tasks
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state
- Minimum five years of experience in title insurance claims administration or real estate law
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents effectively
