Job Summary
To support claims management in a remote capacity, the full-time State Licensed Senior Claims Counsel will investigate title insurance claims, develop resolution strategies, and supervise litigation while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations of claims and examine title for resolution strategies
- Negotiate settlements and engage outside counsel as needed for litigation
- Draft agreements and educational materials, and assist in training staff on claims handling practices
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state
- Minimum five years' experience with title insurance claims administration or real estate law
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret legal documents and prepare presentations
