State Licensed Senior Corporate Counsel

Job Summary

Providing legal and commercial counsel for a line of business, the full-time remote State Licensed Senior Corporate Counsel will support senior management teams, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and manage risk assessments across various legal areas.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal support for business units, advising on corporate matters, compliance, and contract management
• Conduct legal research and interpret laws to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risks
• Act as a subject matter expert and main point of contact for legal concerns, maintaining relationships with outside counsel

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree and a current State Bar License to practice law
• 7+ years of experience in-house or at a law firm specializing in health care, procurement, M&A, regulatory, or privacy
• Proven ability to support executive leadership and manage team projects effectively
• Demonstrated decision-making skills with a balanced consideration of business issues
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in job performance
