State Licensed Senior Counsel

Job Summary

To support its legal department, a full-time State Licensed Senior Counsel will serve as a key advisor on marketing compliance and commercial contracts, reviewing marketing materials for legal adherence, and drafting and negotiating technology agreements in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Review and ensure compliance of marketing collateral with federal advertising laws and intellectual property requirements
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial technology and vendor agreements, focusing on SaaS and software licensing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide timely legal advice and support business growth while managing legal risks

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing of at least one state bar
• Five to seven years of legal experience, particularly in advertising law compliance and commercial contract negotiation
• Experience reviewing marketing materials for compliance with FTC regulations and intellectual property laws
• Hands-on experience with SaaS agreements and a strong understanding of intellectual property principles
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
