Job Summary

Supporting the Capital Markets and Debt and Structured Finance (DSF) business, the full-time remote Lead Senior Counsel will oversee legal matters, provide strategic legal counsel, and collaborate with various teams to mitigate risk and ensure compliance across commercial lending and mortgage brokerage operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee legal matters including corporate governance, compliance, and risk management for CBRE DSF
• Advise on client engagement letters and negotiate ancillary documents in the mortgage loan brokerage business
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with laws and regulations

Required qualifications

• J.D. from a top-tier ABA accredited law school
• Membership in applicable State Bar in good standing
• At least 10+ years of private law firm practice and/or in-house transactional experience with a focus on commercial lending
• Experience with debt and equity brokerage, commercial mortgage lending, and servicing
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
