Job Summary
Providing legal support to the organization, the full-time State Licensed Senior Counsel will focus on reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, working closely with sales and operational leaders to ensure compliance and alignment with company objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Serves as lead counsel for the commercial contracting function, managing the entire process from intake through execution
- Drafts, reviews, and negotiates various commercial contracts, including construction contracts and master services agreements
- Develops and maintains internal processes for contract review, approvals, and record-keeping
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state
- 7-10+ years of transactional legal experience with significant in-house experience preferred
- Strong background in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
- Ability to communicate legal concepts in simple, actionable terms
