Job Summary
Providing strategic legal support for complex commercial transactions, the full-time State Licensed Senior Counsel will advise sales executives and senior leaders on legal risk and compliance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on legal risk, compliance, and business strategy for complex sales transactions across multiple product lines
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS and licensing contracts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive compliance and enhance deal velocity while managing legal risks
Required qualifications
- Qualified attorney with admission to practice in one or more states in the U.S
- 7+ years of experience as in-house counsel, preferably in the software licensing industry
- Substantial knowledge of various licensing models, SaaS/cloud offerings, and data privacy laws
- Experience with revenue recognition rules and compliance processes
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly
