State Licensed Senior Counsel
Job Summary
Providing strategic legal support, the full-time remote State Licensed Senior Counsel will advise on complex commercial legal issues, draft and negotiate agreements, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance compliance and deal velocity.
Key responsibilities
- Advise sales executives and senior leaders on legal risk and compliance for complex sales transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements while managing legal and commercial risk
- Drive initiatives to improve legal workflows and compliance processes across the organization
Required qualifications
- Qualified attorney admitted to practice in one or more U.S. states and a member of a state Bar in good standing
- 7+ years of in-house counsel experience, preferably in the software licensing industry
- Substantial experience with enterprise transactions, SaaS/cloud offerings, and AI
- Working knowledge of data privacy, security requirements, and revenue recognition rules
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly
