Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team, the full-time remote State Licensed Senior Counsel will provide strategic legal guidance on complex regulatory and commercial matters, oversee critical agreements, and manage legal risks while fostering a collaborative legal culture.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direction and coaching to a team of attorneys and legal professionals, promoting an inclusive legal culture
- Serve as the primary legal advisor to senior leaders, translating legal requirements into strategic guidance
- Oversee the negotiation and review of commercial and partnership agreements, ensuring compliance and risk management
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar
- 12+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department with a focus on commercial and regulatory matters
- 5+ years of experience in managing attorneys or legal professionals, including performance and development responsibilities
- Proven track record as a strategic partner to senior leaders in fast-paced, regulated environments
- Experience in leading high-stakes negotiations and managing regulatory inquiries or disputes
