State Licensed Senior Mapping Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting the maintenance of accurate administrative code set mappings, the full-time Senior Mapping Analyst will create and manage mappings for ICD and various procedure systems while serving as a subject matter expert in revenue cycle and health information management in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assign and maintain administrative code set mappings for ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT4, and HCPCS in accordance with production schedules
• Support product release schedules by resolving mapping issues and participating in tool testing
• Provide mentorship and training to junior team members while managing complex customer inquiries

Required qualifications

• Extensive experience with US-based code sets: ICD-10-CM/PCS, ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS
• One of the following credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC
• Associate or bachelor's degree in health information management systems or equivalent experience preferred
• A minimum of five years' experience with medical records coding and electronic health records
• Experience with working claims edits, payor denials, and/or risk-adjustment coding preferred
