Job Summary
To support the claims team, the remote State Licensed SIU Investigator II will conduct thorough investigations of suspected fraud cases, including complex claims involving multiple parties, while collaborating with claims staff and providing training on fraud awareness.
Key responsibilities
- Accountable for complete investigations of claims suspected of fraud, including complex cases with multiple providers
- Responsible for examining documents, interviewing witnesses, and conducting Examinations Under Oath as part of fraud investigations
- Acts as a liaison for fraud training and awareness among claims staff, while providing input for best practices in SIU and claims processes
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in insurance/self-insured fraud investigations, preferably in automobile injury and property damage claims
- Preferred certifications include Fraud Claim Law Specialist, Certified Fraud Examiner, or CPCU designation
- Strong understanding of laws and regulations related to fraud handling
- Experience conducting Examinations Under Oath independently
- Familiarity with telematics data and forensic reports related to vehicle onboard systems
