State Licensed Solution Architect

Job Summary

To support a strategic MediCal client environment, the remote State Licensed Solution Architect will lead the design and delivery of scalable solution architectures in a fast-paced healthcare setting, collaborating across business and IT to drive technology roadmaps and critical state Medicare initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of conceptual and logical architecture solutions for mission-critical initiatives, including portal interfaces and integrations
• Translate complex business requirements into robust solution designs spanning applications, integrations, APIs, data flows, infrastructure, and security
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure architecture decisions align with business value and technical feasibility

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
• Minimum 10 years of total IT experience, including at least 5 years in solution architecture and software development or application architecture
• Demonstrated experience with service-oriented and application-centric solutions in Claims, PBM, or Medicare environments
• Expertise in solution architecture, cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), and microservices
• Strong command of modern application development, API design, and distributed integration patterns
