Job Summary
Leading a team of special education professionals, the full-time remote State Licensed Special Education Director will manage instructional quality, ensure compliance with special education laws, and enhance service delivery for students with IEPs across the country.
Key responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of special education teachers and paraprofessionals, focusing on instructional quality and compliance
- Monitor IEP service implementation to ensure fidelity and appropriate accommodations for students
- Design and deliver professional development to enhance team capacity in inclusive instruction and compliance practices
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Special Education or a related field; Doctorate is a plus
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in special education, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
- State certification or licensure in special education or administration
- Expertise in IDEA, Section 504, and ADA regulations governing special education
- Experience designing or facilitating professional development in inclusive instruction and IEP implementation
