Job Summary
To support children with learning differences, the part-time remote State Licensed Special Education Teacher will provide specially designed instruction, manage IEPs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance student success.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver legally compliant, specially designed instruction and compensatory education services to students with IEPs
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans targeting reading, math, executive functioning, and adaptive life skills
- Manage and monitor student IEPs, including progress assessments and collaboration with the IEP team
Required qualifications
- Active Special Education teaching license/certification
- Demonstrated expertise in specially designed instruction for diverse student populations
- Strong knowledge of phonics-based programs, such as Orton Gillingham or Wilson methodologies
- Foundational understanding of neuropsychological principles related to education and learning differences
- Proficiency in conducting virtual services and using instructional technology
