State Licensed Special Education Teacher

Job Summary

To support children with learning differences, the part-time remote State Licensed Special Education Teacher will provide specially designed instruction, manage IEPs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance student success.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver legally compliant, specially designed instruction and compensatory education services to students with IEPs
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans targeting reading, math, executive functioning, and adaptive life skills
• Manage and monitor student IEPs, including progress assessments and collaboration with the IEP team

Required qualifications

• Active Special Education teaching license/certification
• Demonstrated expertise in specially designed instruction for diverse student populations
• Strong knowledge of phonics-based programs, such as Orton Gillingham or Wilson methodologies
• Foundational understanding of neuropsychological principles related to education and learning differences
• Proficiency in conducting virtual services and using instructional technology
