Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Specialty Therapist to perform utilization review of authorization requests regarding specialty therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reviews of therapy service requests based on evidence-based practices and organizational policies
• Refer members to case management as needed and provide clinical recommendations for adverse therapy determinations
• Support specialty therapy providers with clinical training and guidance on therapy authorization matters

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in a specialty therapy area or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience providing therapy services in healthcare or home health settings
• Pediatric clinical experience preferred
• Current state license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Therapy
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association for Speech-Language Therapists
