Job Summary
Seeking a full-time State Licensed Staff Attorney, the role will manage complex legal needs across various program areas, including drafting and negotiating contracts, providing legal guidance on nonprofit operations, and mitigating legal risks through policy implementation, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support various program areas with complex legal needs, including contract drafting, review, and negotiation
- Provide legal advice on laws and regulations related to nonprofit operations, governance, and compliance
- Manage legal risks by drafting and implementing company policies and coordinating with outside law firms
Required qualifications
- JD degree from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state
- 7+ years of experience in general law practice with expertise in contract and transactional law
- Whole systems approach to problem solving
- Experience in nonprofit law, corporate entity formations, or intellectual property is preferable
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
