Job Summary
To support a humanitarian immigration practice, the remote State Licensed Staff Attorney will conduct client calls to answer legal questions, explain immigration processes, and provide case-related information while ensuring clients feel informed and supported throughout their journey.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct client calls to answer legal questions and provide case status updates within established guidelines
- Explain legal processes and next steps to clients in a clear, professional, and compassionate manner
- Review draft immigration applications and make necessary edits prior to submission
Required qualifications
- J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and active membership in good standing of a state bar
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is a plus
- Experience using a case management software system preferred
- Interest in immigration law and commitment to helping clients obtain documents and stay united with their families
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and document management systems
