Job Summary
Supporting utility-scale solar photovoltaic and battery storage projects, the full-time State Licensed Structural Engineer will prepare structural designs and drawings, conduct project specification research, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of structural designs and drawings for solar foundations and support structures
- Conduct project specification research to ensure compliance with applicable building codes
- Coordinate with internal teams to address structural-related issues and provide drafting support using AutoCAD
Required qualifications
- B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Civil Engineer-In-Training (FE) registration required
- Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in structural design, with preference for experience in utility-scale solar projects
- Knowledge of relevant codes including ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC 360/341
- Familiarity with software tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, RISA 3D/2D, and L-PILE
