Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Surety Counsel, Contractor Support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on coverage issues related to claims
• Conduct legal research and issue written coverage opinions
• Monitor case law and provide training on coverage issues to the Claims Department

Required Qualifications and Education

• Juris Doctor Degree and licensed to practice in at least one state
• Minimum of five years of experience in the surety industry
• Experience with large national surety accounts and broker relationships preferred
• Solution-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Able to clearly present legal concepts to underwriters
