Job Summary

Detail-oriented and hands-on, the full-time State Licensed Tax Compliance Specialist will manage federal, state, and local tax compliance activities, including tax filings, remittances, and agency registrations, while working remotely with occasional in-office presence preferred.

Key responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and on time
  • Process tax payments and remittances through agency websites and electronic filing systems
  • Research and resolve tax notices, inquiries, discrepancies, and agency correspondence
Required qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on federal, state, and local tax compliance experience
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and filing tax returns
  • Experience processing tax remittances and payments through agency websites and tax portals
  • Strong experience researching and resolving tax notices and agency correspondence
  • Experience reconciling tax liabilities, payments, filings, and balances
