State Licensed Tax Director
Job Summary
To support a growing State & Local Tax (SALT) practice, the full-time remote State Licensed Tax Director will manage income tax and indirect tax consulting engagements, mentor staff, and provide technical guidance on multi-state tax matters for a diverse client base.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and deliver income tax and indirect tax consulting and compliance engagements for various clients and industries
- Conduct nexus studies, taxability analyses, and exposure reviews while advising clients on multi-state tax issues
- Lead and mentor staff, providing coaching and technical development while building strong client relationships
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred)
- CPA, JD, or MST preferred
- 9+ years of experience in public accounting or industry, focusing on state and local tax issues
- Strong knowledge of multi-state tax regulations and compliance
- Proven experience managing engagements and supervising staff
