State Licensed Tax Staff Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Accountant, Tax.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in corporate tax compliance, focusing on state and local matters
• Perform tax research and respond to federal, state, and local tax notices
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and assist with tax-related process improvements

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in tax, preferably in public accounting or a public company
• BA or BS degree in accounting, finance, or tax from a top-ranking university
• Basic knowledge of sales/use tax and income/franchise tax
• CPA track preferred with advanced Excel skills
• Specialized knowledge in state and local tax matters strongly preferred
