State Licensed Transactional Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing vendor legal team, the remote Counsel II, Vendor will negotiate and manage a high volume of vendor agreements while designing and improving legal processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting, and execution of various vendor agreements, managing a busy deal pipeline with sound judgment
• Design and implement playbooks and workflows that streamline operations and reduce cycle time without compromising quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide practical legal guidance and develop training resources for business partners

Required qualifications

• JD and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
• 5+ years of relevant transactional experience in-house at a technology company or at a top law firm
• Exceptional drafting skills with experience in fintech, payments, or financial services
• Strong working knowledge of data protection and privacy regimes such as CCPA and GDPR
• Proven ability to manage high deal volume while maintaining quality and consistency
