Job Summary

Collecting and reporting on trauma patient data, the full-time State Licensed Trauma Registrar will manage medical records abstraction and ensure compliance with certification requirements, with the potential for remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, abstract, and report data from trauma patient medical records
• Ensure compliance with certification requirements and participate in necessary training courses
• Maintain accurate and detailed records while utilizing trauma database systems

Required qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Health Information Management or related program or applicable experience
• Licensure as CAISS, CSTR, or registered as a Health Information Technician (RHIT) within two years of hire
• Previous trauma registry experience preferred; computer data entry experience required
• Knowledge of trauma database systems and understanding of computer system interfaces preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to perform accurate, detailed work
