Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Counsel to manage legal risk and provide guidance on title searches and insurance in real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate title searches and insurance risk factors, communicating underwriting requirements to stakeholders
• Evaluate risk and exposures to determine business acceptability, including determining premiums and terms
• Lead projects and provide guidance to colleagues while solving complex problems within established guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree, currently licensed to practice in a state
• 2-4 years of related work experience
• Working knowledge of business practices and key business drivers
• Ability to analyze data related to financial conditions and past claim experiences
• Experience in explaining complex information clearly and effectively
