State Licensed Underwriting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Regional Underwriting Manager to oversee the underwriting department and ensure service level agreements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach and mentor Underwriters on processes, guidelines, and system work
• Act as the primary contact for Underwriters regarding questions and clarifications
• Manage the underwriting pipeline and ensure compliance with service level agreements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
• DE, SAR, and LAPP certifications are required; USDA experience is a plus
• 5+ years of Mortgage Underwriting experience with knowledge of FHA, VA, and Conventional guidelines
• 5+ years of underwriting supervisory experience
• Experience with Encompass LOS and knowledge of compliance requirements
