State Licensed Underwriting Manager

Job Summary

Supporting the underwriting department remotely, the full-time salaried Regional Underwriting Manager will manage day-to-day operations, provide coaching and training to Underwriters, and ensure service level agreements are met while assisting with escalated loan-level questions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to Underwriters on processes and guidelines
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Underwriters regarding questions and clarifications
• Manage the underwriting pipeline to ensure compliance with service level agreements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• DE, SAR, and LAPP certifications required; USDA experience is a plus
• 5+ years of Mortgage Underwriting experience with agency guideline knowledge
• 5+ years of underwriting supervisory experience
• Proficient in Encompass LOS and Microsoft Office Suite
