State Licensed University Supervisor

Job Summary

To support teacher candidates in their demonstration teaching experience, the part-time State Licensed University Supervisor in Special & Elementary Education will observe, evaluate, and mentor candidates remotely while collaborating with cooperating teachers and providing feedback throughout the academic year.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate expectations for demonstration teaching to cooperating teachers and school administrators
• Conduct virtual field observations and provide actionable feedback during scheduled conferences with teacher candidates and cooperating teachers
• Serve as a liaison between the university and demonstration teaching sites, offering support and information as needed

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in the field of study or a closely related field
• 3+ years of teaching experience with a valid teaching license in elementary education and/or special education, or experience as a K-12 school administrator
• Experience with online or technology-enabled instruction preferred
• Commitment to advocating for the learning and development needs of distance learning students
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and reliable internet access
