Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Review Clinician to join their team in a full-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate clinical utilization and external payer expectations for patient admissions
• Act as a clinical resource for the healthcare team regarding admission appropriateness and continued stays
• Gather clinical information to report to insurance companies for authorization of continued stays

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Clinical credential such as a counselor certificate or nursing license (RN or LPN)
• Three years of behavioral healthcare clinical counseling, nursing, or clinical case management experience
• License or credential to function as an alcohol and drug treatment counselor in the respective state
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Master's degree in a behavioral healthcare related field (preferred)
