Job Summary

To support a growing utilization management team, a part-time State Licensed Vascular Surgeon will serve as a specialty match reviewer for vascular cases, engage in peer-to-peer discussions with physicians, and provide clinical rationale for appeals while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the specialty match reviewer for vascular cases and imaging requests that require specialty reviews
• Discuss determinations with requesting physicians within regulatory timeframes and provide clinical rationale for appeals
• Ensure compliance with medical review guidelines and participate in ongoing training and documentation processes

Required qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS degree required
• Current, unrestricted clinical license in medicine or required specialty
• Active Board Certification in Vascular Surgery or General Surgery with extensive Vascular Surgery experience
• Minimum of five years' experience in the practice of Vascular Surgery preferred
• Strong clinical, management, and organizational skills required
