State Licensed Vascular Surgery Director

Job Summary

As a key member of the utilization management team, the part-time or full-time State Licensed Vascular Surgery Director will serve as a specialty match reviewer, engage in peer-to-peer discussions with physicians, and ensure compliance with medical necessity guidelines in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review vascular cases and imaging requests that do not meet medical necessity guidelines
• Conduct peer-to-peer discussions with ordering providers regarding determination outcomes
• Ensure documentation of all communications with medical office staff is accurate and timely

Required qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS degree
• Current, unrestricted clinical license in medicine or required specialty
• Active Board Certification in Vascular Surgery or General Surgery with extensive Vascular Surgery experience
• Minimum of five years' experience as a practicing Vascular Surgeon
• Proficiency in computer skills and strong organizational capabilities
