State Licensed Vice President of Legal

Job Summary

Leading a team of legal professionals, the full-time State Licensed Vice President of Legal will provide comprehensive legal advice across various business aspects, including product development and government contracting, while working remotely with minimal travel to the Herndon, VA office.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the internal legal team and oversee all legal functions, including regulatory compliance and procurement contracts
• Serve as the senior legal advisor to the General Counsel and senior leadership on legal matters affecting the company
• Negotiate, draft, and manage complex contracts and agreements, ensuring strong corporate governance and compliance

Required qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate degree with 10+ years of legal experience
• Minimum of four years in the space or defense sectors and with U.S. government contracts
• Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction and in good standing
• Experience managing a small team of legal professionals
• Active Secret Security Clearance
