State Licensed VP of Legal

Job Summary

A company is looking for a VP, Legal to build and lead its legal function and support growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and negotiate the full commercial contract lifecycle, leveraging AI-powered tools
• Establish scalable legal processes and manage outside counsel for specialized legal matters
• Serve as a key advisor on legal, regulatory, and risk matters to the executive leadership team

Required Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of legal experience, preferably in SaaS or technology companies
• Prior in-house experience at a growth-stage or scaling company is strongly preferred
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• Deep experience with commercial contracts and technology transactions
• Strong understanding of privacy, data protection, and modern SaaS risk profiles
