State Licensed VP of Legal

Job Summary

Serving as a senior advisor to executive leadership, the full-time State Licensed VP of Legal will lead regulatory strategy and compliance initiatives across global telecommunications operations while providing legal counsel to various internal business functions and engaging with regulatory authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead GTT's global telecommunications regulatory strategy, ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory obligations
• Provide executive-level legal counsel on high-risk matters, including cybersecurity obligations and regulatory enforcement exposure
• Deliver actionable legal and regulatory advice to senior leadership and oversee a wide range of legal matters across the organization

Required qualifications

• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
• 15+ years of relevant legal experience, including law firm and in-house roles
• Significant experience in telecommunications law and regulation, particularly in multinational operations
• Deep understanding of commercial law and its application in complex business environments
• Extensive experience with multi-jurisdictional telecommunications regulatory frameworks across North America and Europe
