Job Summary
Passionate about policy advocacy, the full-time State Policy Advocate will collaborate with the State Policy and Advocacy Manager to design and implement strategies that support survivors of gender-based violence, analyze relevant legislation, and engage with stakeholders, all in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-design and implement a policy and advocacy strategy focused on long-term financial security for survivors
- Analyze state legislation and recommend advocacy opportunities while tracking legislative developments
- Engage with policy partners and contribute to external communications to advance policy goals
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in policy advocacy or a relevant degree (JD, MPP, or MPA)
- Ability to analyze and critique policy language and translate complex information for general audiences
- Experience in relationship management with stakeholders and coalitions
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
