State Relations Manager

Job Summary

As the primary liaison for state Department of Education stakeholders, the full-time State Relations Manager will design and execute strategic plans to enhance organizational visibility, while collaborating with internal teams and managing relationships to support education initiatives in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business units to develop strategic plans and approaches for state solutions
• Leverage and cultivate relationships with key state education officials to secure meetings and presentations
• Consult with state education leaders on initiatives and assist in pursuing state-level contracts

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree in Education or Policy preferred
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in a senior leadership role with a state Department of Education
• Knowledge and expertise in education policy and state government operations
• Established networks with state Department of Education decision-makers preferred
• Experience managing initiatives connected to state policy and funding preferred
