Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Statistical & Claim Data Analyst will support statistical and actuarial initiatives through data analysis, technology solutions, and business consulting while partnering with business teams to optimize processes and improve information management.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for external customers regarding carrier data reporting requirements and automated statistical reporting
- Evaluate system enhancements and their impact on business operations, leading system testing and debugging efforts
- Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical and financial data to support the development of data-driven solutions
Required qualifications
- Education equivalent to a college degree in mathematics, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 4 years of analytical experience in a mathematical, financial, or insurance field
- Ability to identify and understand customer needs, taking appropriate action to meet those needs
- Experience in using and designing automated tools and processes for data analysis and reporting
- Strong analytical ability to gather and study data, identify root causes, and recommend improvements
