Job Summary
To provide statistical programming expertise within the Statistical Center for HIV/AIDS Research and Prevention, the full-time remote Statistical Programmer III/IV will coordinate with statisticians to write efficient, reusable code for data analysis and reporting while managing analysis datasets and ensuring data quality.
Key responsibilities
- Gather and document requirements for developing or modifying programs and systems
- Generate, document, and maintain analysis datasets while creating ad hoc and study-specific reports
- Contribute to mentoring and training of junior Statistical Programmers and may supervise as needed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 4-5 years of experience in SAS or R programming, with knowledge of clinical trials research data
- Advanced programming skills in SAS or R, including experience with reporting and macro/package development
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a matrix management environment
- Experience with data wrangling/transformation in a health-related field
