Statistical Programming Assistant

Job Summary

Supporting research and data analysis, the part-time Statistical Programming Assistant will focus on statistical computing in R, data validation, and preparation of datasets for modeling while collaborating with senior research staff in a remote capacity, working approximately 15 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with data cleaning, restructuring, and validation
• Write and maintain R code for data preparation and applied statistical modeling
• Create reproducible analysis workflows and prepare summary tables and visualizations

Required qualifications

• Current or recent student in statistics, biostatistics, econometrics, demography, public health, or a related field
• Proficiency in R for statistical computing, including tidyverse and data manipulation
• Coursework in regression analysis and statistical inference
• Experience cleaning and preparing data for analysis
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
