Job Summary

A company is looking for a Statutory Accountant to support statutory and regulatory accounting within an insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations and reports, and complete regulatory filings
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring data accuracy and resolving discrepancies
  • Analyze general ledger account balances, prepare journal entries, and ensure compliance with GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting, including statutory accounting
  • Understanding of accounting principles and their application
  • Knowledge and experience in the insurance industry
  • BA/BS in Accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Preferred knowledge of general ledger maintenance and related processes
