Job Summary
A company is looking for a Statutory Accountant to support statutory and regulatory accounting within an insurance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations and reports, and complete regulatory filings
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring data accuracy and resolving discrepancies
- Analyze general ledger account balances, prepare journal entries, and ensure compliance with GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting, including statutory accounting
- Understanding of accounting principles and their application
- Knowledge and experience in the insurance industry
- BA/BS in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- Preferred knowledge of general ledger maintenance and related processes
