Statutory Auditor for Sudan

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time Statutory Auditor for Sudan, the successful candidate will conduct the annual audit for 2025, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, assessing financial statements, and providing an opinion on their accuracy, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of financial statements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA)
• Evaluate compliance with donor agreements and local regulations regarding project expenses and payroll
• Prepare and submit audit reports, including management letters highlighting internal control weaknesses and recommendations

Required qualifications

• Membership in a national accounting or auditing body or institution, preferably affiliated with IFAC
• Proven experience conducting statutory audits for nonprofit organizations
• Strong understanding of local laws and regulations affecting financial reporting in Sudan
• Ability to provide a detailed audit approach and methodology
• Experience with international nonprofit organizations of similar structure and revenue
