Statutory Auditor for Sudan

Job Summary

To conduct the annual statutory audit for 2024, the full-time remote Statutory Auditor for Sudan will ensure compliance with local laws and donor agreements, verify financial statements, and assess internal controls while adhering to International Standards on Auditing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Evaluate the use of funds in accordance with donor agreements and provide recommendations for improvements in internal controls
• Prepare and submit audit reports, including management letters detailing observations and compliance issues

Required qualifications

• Membership in a national accounting or auditing body recognized by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC)
• Proven experience in conducting statutory audits for nonprofit organizations
• Strong understanding of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and local legal frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to manage audit processes and deliver reports within specified timelines
• Familiarity with donor compliance requirements and financial regulations in Sudan
