Statutory Lead - Spain

Job Summary

Leading statutory activities for all legal entities in the region, the full-time South Europe Lead - Statutory will manage audit requirements, oversee transactional tax compliance, and ensure adherence to accounting principles while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment based in Coslada, Madrid.

Key responsibilities

• Manage internal and external audit processes to ensure timely delivery of statutory requirements and compliance with US GAAP and local standards
• Oversee compliance of transactional tax filings, such as VAT and WHT, for the region
• Lead a team to drive process improvements and ensure execution of statutory goals while collaborating with in-country service providers

Required qualifications

• Over 8 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or financial reporting
• At least 5 years of experience managing statutory audits or project management
• Proficiency in accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP/local standards) and legal requirements
• Fluency in English and Spanish, with strong MS Office and SAP skills preferred
• Valid authorization to work in Spain without current or future sponsorship
